PermaDri, Inc. Introduces Rubberized Corrosion Protection Product Totally Free of Volatile Organic Compounds

PermaDri, Inc., manufacturer of corrosion protection coatings, today announced the formal introduction of PermaDri, its water-based, liquid-applied product that is 100 percent free of volatile organic compounds (VOC's) and adheres to virtually all industrial surfaces.

According to the Company, the PermaDri product is specifically designed as both a corrosion preventative in new applications and a highly effective remedial solution for existing corrosion problems, and has been hailed particularly for its instant setting capabilities absent the use of solvents.

Joseph E. Pressutti, chairman and chief executive of Fresno-based PermaDri, Inc., said the PermaDri product has been successfully used in 27 countries over 17 years. The product is manufactured at PermaDri's new facilities in Fresno and in Canada.

"The engineering properties of PermaDri are truly remarkable," Pressutti commented. "We believe PermaDri is the most aggressive coating available in terms of its permanent adherence to concrete, steel, wood and even foam board. This, coupled with the standout environmental features of PermaDri -- a complete absence of VOC's and a high UV resistance - make the product unbeatable," he asserted.

"Additionally, PermaDri never hardens, and retains within 800 percent elongation, and as a result will not crack and allow moisture penetration, a well-known weakness of many corrosion protection coatings" Pressutti said.

The Company said PermaDri's ease of application also sets the product apart from other corrosion protection coatings, pointing out that it can be readily applied by spray, brush, roller or trowel, depending on job-site circumstances, and will conform to the contours of any applicable surface. Unlike some competitive coatings, PermaDri applies as a liquid and dries as a membrane, thus eliminating the need to cut or paste around piping or other job-site obstructions, the Company explained.
